it mostly went away with an fsa two-piece top cap, i think it's because the verde was this tiny little one piece thing that didn't cut it

i seem to be able to create a knocking in the bearing by running into a wall at low speed or standing the bike up on the back wheel and bouncing it. is that what you're talking about? i never had this problem with normal headsets and i've retightened my headset dozens of times. and your problem - did it go away after the headset broke in, or did you have to pack more grease for it to go away... or a new headset was needed?

so what did you do afterwards? i read that kenda tyres are supposed to be easier to put on/off larger rims like mine, but did you use fs100's after that happend? i need to know because otherwise i'll be spending another 18 - 20 odd on a tyre that will do just the same :/
